Perfect setting for a not so perfect day

Green energy lit up the beautiful scenery as Mira arrived with the couple as the light covered the landscape. The mage turned around and faced the couple. "You have been through so much and as I said before nothing is going to stop you two getting the happiness you deserve. 

[Miranda Rydenborne]

"What in the world was going on back there?" Miri asked Sean and Mira as she looked around to see who else had made it. Isabella and Sandrine were there, but Miri was not sure Erin or Maeve or anyone else made it. "Mira, thank you! I know there is all this talk about X-Men weddings being cursed by lunatics attacking all the time, but that was just beyond the pale."

Miri's hands were shaking as she looked at Sean. "I'm sorry my father is such a bigot. He never leaves well enough alone. When we have time to think, maybe we need to figure out what he's actually been doing all these years. That poor girl Bethany!"

"Not today you don't!" Maeve shouted as she came running up to the happy couple. "Sorry, Mira. I thought I saw a straggler protester that got sucked into your teleport. It was only one of the stable hands who got spooked when he saw your energy signature. So, Sean, feel like an X-Man now?" Maeve asked her cousin as she shook her head.

[Jack Sparrow]

"Oh bullocks!" were the first words out of Jack's mouth as he found himself standing on Irish soil. He realized what Mira had done, and he was glad she had done it for the bride and groom. He just wished he had not been whisked away before helping Craig and Mrs. Brown to get to safety. "What in the name of heaven was going on back there?" he spouted as he moved to join the others. "What sort of insanity was that?" he asked Mira as he finally dropped the steak knife he had been using to cut away the vines. "And who would resurrect Craig Dragotti's wife? That makes no sense whatsoever!"

"A little too much so!"Sean said with a laugh as he closed his eyes and felt the battle was over back at the school. "It seems our forces have won the day. I have to say though its interesting to see how Jessie has progressed....I have done a lot of digging into the history of the various X Men and Women and in a way Jessie is walking in her mothers footsteps the only difference is she very much has the love and support of her family and friends...Even more so then her mother did.....I do look forward to seeing how her relationship with Ewan blossoms. She brought us back from the brink once....Perhaps she is the bridge between our clans."

He said before smiling back at his fiancee. "I think a wedding will happen today after all....."He said looking over at Mira. "If there is a way to reach out to the others to allow those that would still like to join us..."He started before Mira smiled

"Way ahead of you Sean." She said as her body glowed Green she opened a portal to the school grounds while mentally projecting to those still at the school grounds.

{"The day is won.....But its not over yet. We have a wedding to celebrate....For those that would still like to join the festivities join us."}

[Miranda Rydenborne]

Miri nodded to Sean as Mira opened her portal. Then she looked at Jack. "Who is Craig Dragotti?"

"That is my housemate back in San Francisco. He more or less wandered into the world of the X-Men but ended up living with me. Life is funny like that," he added as he stepped closer to Mira. "Splendid job, darling! Now, who do you want performing this ceremony? I'm afraid unless we are on open water that I can't. And I am sure you would rather not risk a wedding at sea after the mess today."

"Thank you for the offer, Jack, but I would prefer to stay on dry land!" Miri said as she grabbed Sean's hand. "Isn't there some family officiant that can do this?" she asked Maeve as she stood there with Erin.

"I could get Amergin, but he can be fussy and a tad long-winded," Maeve replied. "Then again, he owes me. Big time. Let me see if I can reach him. He goes to Avalon sometimes, and then you can't reach him for days."

"I don't really have anyone I can call on," Miri replied as she looked to see if anyone was coming through the portal. "If no one comes, we will just do it the lot of us here. I'm not waiting another day to be your wife!"

"As Mira said there will be a wedding one way or another and the feeling is mutual love I won't go another day without being your husband."He said with a smile as he started to lean in Erin spoke up.

"SEAN! We are not at that point yet! Least let some of the guests come through SHEESH!" She said with a laugh and Sean smiled. "Your right lass your right." He responded looking back at Miri. "To be continued momentarily."

[Miranda Rydenborne]

Miri was growing a bit concerned until she finally saw people starting to come through the portal. None of them were, thank heaven, sporting zombie attire or metal wings. "I think that we are actually going to have a crowd here!" Miri said to Sean with a big smile as she saw Enya Sun and Devnet Casey motioning for people to make their way towards the wedding party. Maeve had gone off to see if Amergin Gluingel was anywhere near the estate and willing to perform the ceremony. "As long as no one insists on an Amazonian wedding, we will be fine. Those can get a bit crazy."

As she looked around, Miri leaned closer to Erin. "Would you mind singing for the ceremony? I'm betting we lost Alison Blaire to some X-Men business in San Francisco."

   

[Taranus]

Erin smiled at the request. "Not only will I do it I would be honored." She said giving Miri a gentle hug. "I am glad the day wasn't ruined. You two deserve nothing but happiness." She added.

[Enya Sun]

Enya shook her head as she heard Maeve running off to find Amergin. "I know that flighty mage is the family favorite," she said as she walked over to Sean and Miri, "but if Amergin doesn't want to or can't do your hand fasting, I will gladly do it. At any rate, you do have the blessings of the Holy Isle on this most sacred of days. I just wonder why Selene did all that today? This was not exactly the usual X-Men wedding. Most of the mutant contingent wasn't even there."

Devnet ran up behind Enya and tapped her friend on the shoulder. "What?" Enya asked as Dev pointed down toward Enya's hip. Her bloody chakram was dripping all over the place. "Fine. I'll clean up in a bit. But we still have no idea why that wannabe goddess crashed the party, do we?"

[BENNU]

"Because Selene never misses a chance to try to impose her will on the world."A voice said as Jessie and Ewan walked out of the portal and over to the group. Jessie's eyes still had a fiery hue to them as she was still coming off of her fight with Selene.

"Me being there I am sorry to say may have increased the problems. Selene has always seen me as her instrument of destruction. She has tried time and time again in her mind to free me.....Well in a way she succeeded but not in the way she hoped. I am letting justice be done but I swear if she becomes a problem again I will gladly end her." The young Phoenix said before she felt Ewan's gentle grasp of her hand.

"I'm sorry I am still trying to get used to that darker side of me returning to my spirit. Ill be OK but..."She said turning to Miri and Sean. "I am sorry for everything that ***** has done to try to ruin the day but as Mira said you deserve this day to be filled with joy and to bring you two together and we are all here to share in that joy with you."

[Eiriu]

"If Selene comes at you again, Jessie, we will all end her," Maeve said as she rejoined the group. "Amergin is indeed out of the area. He's popped off to another dimension to collect something or someone." Maeve looked at Erin and then back to Jessie and Ewan. "I'm serious. If Selene becomes an issue, I don't care what any of the X-Men command says. We will make this family business and end her."

Ewan pulled Maeve closer to him and Jessie and shook his head. "Not today. Joy first. Trouble will find us all too soon. That is the usual way of things. Miri and Sean now have their celebrant in Enya, so we should be able to start soon."

"I'm sorry Amergin was not here, but I think Enya will be a much better choice anyway. I just wasn't sure you'd be with us, Enya," Maeve added as she looked back toward the portal. "That was an outright disaster back there."

[The Whisperer]

"Jessie, we'll talk to your mothers and to Scott and Hank when we go back," Ewan said softly as he tried to keep things a bit more calm for his love. "We will figure out what to do with Selene so she is no longer an issue for you or anyone else. I am afraid she would not be as easy to redeem as others have been in the past. I don't trust her, and I think I never shall."

"Enough of the wannabe moon goddess chatter," Miri said as she went over to give Jessie a hug. "You are all here to help us celebrate. We have love enough to spare, food, music, family and friends. Let's get this party started." Miri looked back at Sean and smiled, trying the best she could to keep the happy tears at bay. "Mira, can you find the spot where the ley lines are strongest? I think we need all the magic help we can get right now to make this all happen."

"If anyone can, Mira can," Ewan said as he leaned in and kissed Jessie. "And all will be well. I promise." 

[DORCHA]

"With pleasure."Mira responded to Ewan as her eyes glowed Green intensifying with every moment as she floated just off the ground her power covered the area she found a spot that was perfect as she let her magic do its work.

"I think that should do the trick."She said hugging the bride and groom as she admired her handy work. The magic that had been created for the wedding was not to be believed unless you had been there at that moment.

[Miranda Rydenborne]

"Thank you, Mira. We really could not have done this without you!," Miri said as she went and hugged Dorcha again. "I think we really don't need to stand on ceremony at this point, do you, Sean?" Miri asked as she looked to see more people arriving for the wedding. "After zombie flying priests and my father, I think we're good to go as is."

"Noooo! Wait!" Isabella shouted as she came running over with a rather droopy looking bouquet of flowers.  "I have to fix these! My mother wanted you to have them for the ceremony." Bella ran her hand over the flowers and used a spell to make them as they were before the drama back in San Francisco. "All flowers picked for good luck and love and happiness!"

"Thank you, Bella sweetie," Miri said with a smile as she looked at Sean. "Ready?"

"I've been waiting for this for quite some time lass." Sean smiled as he gently took her hand in his as they started to walk to the main area where the ceremony was going to take place. Erin and the others started to go to their positions waiting for a few more guests to arrive and the ceremony would start.
