James began to wince after Cecilia mentioned a golden idol replacing her. Her words weren't false. *I remember battling my older sibling for denying my share of gold. I also remember defeating him* he thought. James glanced at Jasper before his scowl returned. He heard Sasha as the latter mentioned Harley and her companions.
''Harley stomping on someone's foot seems like something Peter Pan would do to me for fun. I also imagine him taking a whole tray of cookies just like she did.'' His eyes became wide for a moment. James blinked. Confused, he tilted his head to one side. He placed his hook under his face.
''The Sewer King's babies? His pet alligators!''
James trembled for a few seconds. He never forgot about the alligators snapping at everything. ''Is the Sewer King willing to feed me to his babies?'' He turned to Sasha. He tilted his head another time. ''Batman?''
After turning to his betrothed, James winced again. *At least Cecilia is being polite. For now.* His betrothed didn't seem enraged.
''Why should Batman care if Harley goes bat hunting?''

Galen had been passing by the living room doors when he heard the name "Batman" and stopped in his tracks. The last time he heard that name was when a man in bat-styled garb got involved in the rescue of Hope Summers from Cooperstown, Alaska. "I am sure Henry can relay a message to the Dark Knight," Galen said as he entered the room. "Right now I'm here to invite you all to Ewan and jessie's wedding celebration in the arboretum."
{{Henry, I know you likely have no way of contacting that bat fellow, but please play along}} he said telepathically to Beast who nodded in reply. {{Thom's father was friends with a man who called himself the Dark Knight back in Victorian London. I have a feeling this modern one is related. If so, I might be able to get word to him, if he is not aware in the first place. That family has no shortage of brilliant minds}}
"Please, feel free to go join the celebration at your leisure," Galen said as he saw Cicero with Mr. Dragotti. "That includes the good Cicero."

Sasha glanced at Galen. He approached him. ''Please let Batman know that Harley Quinn and the Sewer King are going bat hunting. The Sewer King is a very bad man. He brags about harming children. He also keeps pet alligators with him.''
Sasha viewed Craig's sudden smile near Galen. He heard the latter as he thanked Galen.

Cecilia began to smile near Galen. ''A wedding celebration?'' She glanced at James another time. She frowned. Cecilia turned to Galen. ''I was almost married.''
Cecilia viewed Craig and Isabella frowning at one another. Confused, she blinked twice. She approached Beast. She nodded at Craig and Isabella. ''Why are those two frowning at one another? Are they married? If so, why aren't they together?''

Cicero writhed in the long-haired man's arms. He flew from the latter and to Galen. He began to purr. Cicero nodded at Galen.
Worry filled Craig's eyes before he followed Cicero. His arms were around Cicero again. ''Sorry about that. Cicero usually doesn't fly from me. Hopefully he never bothered you,'' he said to Galen. He looked sheepish.
Craig heard what Cecilia asked about. He turned to her, but remained near Galen and Cicero. ''A woman known as Selene revived my wife after her life ended. Selene convinced Isabella that I abused her. She sent her to harm me. After Selene was defeated, Isabella was imprisoned. She isn't in a cell due to the recent holiday. It might be some time before my wife and I are with one another again.''
Craig glanced at James. He decided not to reveal Isabella kissing James under the mistletoe recently. ''I'm certain James wishes to be with you again. You should be with him, Cecilia,'' he said.

Jasper frowned the minute he saw Cecilia. He recognized her from when she was his prisoner. He approached her. ''You'll eventually be my prisoner again. You won't avoid me another time.'' He turned to Galen.
''About the wedding celebration...'' Jasper glanced at Isabella. ''Are we invited to the wedding? My younger brother already suffered. I'm more interested in seeing how my mistress is.'' A rare expression of worry formed on his face.

Isabella nodded to where Cecilia stood. *We have something in common. The men we cherished harmed us* she thought. She turned to Jasper after he wished to know if they were invited to the wedding. ''I'm certain Mistress Selene is fine, Jasper,'' she said. She wasn't exactly certain.
*I'll find something to do for now* Isabella thought. She glanced at Craig and Cicero. She scowled. *Not being near Craig and his pet for starters.*
Isabella's eyes settled on a computer before she approached it. After switching it on, she glanced at a news site. Her eyes widened after she read recent news. ''A VAMPIRE KILLED OTHERS NEAR HERE RECENTLY?!''

Captain Hook's eyes settled on Galen. He nodded and bowed near him. ''I'm looking forward to attending the wedding,'' he said to Galen.
He heard what Sasha said about the Sewer King's babies. Captain Hook winced. He turned to Cecilia and frowned.
*Cecilia, I...* His shoulders slumped. His eyes widened after Cicero flew out of Mr. Dragotti's arms. Captain Hook's frown returned the minute Craig mentioned him wishing to be with Cecilia again. *My betrothed recently arrived. She may never heal from past injuries.*
Captain Hook heard what his brother said to Cecilia. He began to tremble with rage. His eyes widened for a different reason. He ceased trembling. Captain Hook approached Jasper. ''My betrothed won't be your prisoner another time, you cad! Abandon her this instant!''
That was when Captain Hook heard about a vampire. He blinked twice. ''A vampire? I never saw a vampire when I was in Britain and Neverland.'' Captain Hook smiled. ''I'm certain the vampire won't attend the wedding. We should be fine,'' he said to everyone.

Frowning, Craig turned to Jasper after the latter mentioned Isabella possibly attending the wedding. ''You two will most likely cause trouble for everyone.'' He glanced at Isabella. One of his eyebrows went up. *Since when does Isabella use computers?* He shook his head in disbelief.
Craig's eyes widened the minute Isabella mentioned a vampire. He heard Cicero while his pet whimpered. He viewed him burrowing in his arms. Craig smiled. ''I'll protect you from the vampire,'' he said. His frown returned as soon as Captain Hook assured everyone about them being fine.
Craig approached Galen. ''Are you familiar with vampires? What's the easiest way to defeat a vampire?'' He continued to hold the worried Cicero.

Before Galen could say a word, Loki started to laugh loudly. "Your brother is very funny, Chetna."
"What amuses you, Loki?" Galen asked as the Trickster continued to laugh. "Please, fill us in on the joke," he added as he walked with Cicero back to Mr. Dragotti. "I love wyverns. Cicero is a marvelous companion indeed."
"You didn't tell them that the couple to be married are vampires?" Loki asked as Chetna sighed. "What? I thought the X-Mansion was now a preternatural playground with that building across the lake for the mystic students. You have goddesses of death in your midst, and an angel or two besides Warren Worthington, if I am correct."
"Would everyone stop, please?" Beast said as he took off his glasses and rubbed the bridge of his nose. "Yes, the couple are vampires. No, they will not harm anyone. Nor will the guests here today that are vampires or werewolves or any other mystic creature class. As for that rogue vampire on the news, I am sure the Mystic Council will dispatch someone to look into it. There is that woman they send out. What is her name?"
"Rayna Cruz? They could also ask Blade," Galen replied as he glanced back at Loki. "Please, everyone, I believe the ceremony is starting now. Let's head to the arboretum."

A smile formed on Craig's face after Galen mentioned loving wyverns. ''Cicero is a wonderful pet,'' he said. Frowning, he turned to Sasha for a moment. ''Cicero won't fall asleep as I sing. He won't roll his eyes after I frown.'' That was when he faced Beast. His eyes widened.
''I had no idea about the wedding couple being vampires. At least they won't harm anyone,'' Craig said. He smiled near Cicero to pacify him. Craig's smile remained after the wyvern fell asleep in his arms. He approached Galen. He looked back.
One eyebrow was raised after Craig viewed James Hook scowling at Jasper. ''I am certain your older brother won't torment you again,'' he said to James. He watched as Cecilia approached James. *I almost forgot about Hook's betrothed* he thought. He viewed Hook's body tensing and one expression of regret. Craig's eyes widened again as soon as Cecilia smiled. They remained on Cecilia as she wrapped her arm around the wide-eyed Hook's arm.

Captain Hook heard what Loki said about the couple to be married being vampires. His eyes widened for a few seconds. He tilted his head to one side. ''Oh?'' At least the rogue vampire was going to be found and defeated. Maybe!
Captain Hook scowled at Jasper again. ''You won't harm anyone else, brother,'' he said. Captain Hook never forgot about what Jasper did to him at a previous wedding. How he used illusions of his mother and betrothed. That was when Captain Hook remembered Cecilia. He turned to her after she wrapped her arm around his arm.
Captain Hook and Cecilia walked to Galen. He glanced at his betrothed again. He smiled another time. Perhaps there was going to be another wedding after this one.
''Let's follow Galen to the arboretum.''

"I'll find one of the other Mystic Police force members and ask them to look into that rogue vampire," Galen replied as he motioned for the others to follow him. {{Hank, I haven't heard from my mother or Logan. I hope nothing bad happened at Avengers Tower}}
