Ewan mentally caught the chatter of his nephews and Amergin and almost made a face when he thought about anyone missing the wedding due to a battle.
{{Beloved, Kari and Logan are held up in Manhattan. Some demonic outbreak}} he said to Jessie. "Amergin, I think we need to get started."
"And so we shall," the mage said as he pulled red ribbon from a pocket in his garments. He entwined Jessie and Ewan's hands with the ribbon. "And if anyone has reason for this union not to be, then you can walk outside and keep going. We will have none of that here today!"
Ewan chuckled as Amergin gave the ceremony his usual flash of what his grandmother called charm. Anyone else would call it egotistical tomfoolery.
"Jessie and Ewan, these words are as old as time. Please take them to heart and know that we here support you both in your union."
Amergin cleared his throat for a bit of dramatic pause before starting the vows.
"These are the hands of your best friend, young and strong and full of love for you, that are holding yours on your wedding day, as you promise to love each other today, tomorrow and forever.
These are the hands that will work alongside yours, as together you build your future.
These are the hands that will passionately love you and cherish you through the years, and with the slightest touch, will comfort you like no other.
These are the hands that will hold you when fear or grief fills your mind.
These are the hands that will countless times wipe the tears from your eyes; tears of sorrow and tears of joy.
These are the hands that will help you to hold your family as one.
These are the hands that will give you strength when you need it.
And lastly, these are the hands that, even when wrinkled and aged, will still be reaching for yours, still giving the you same unspoken tenderness with just a touch."
Ewan teared up a bit as he smiled at Jessie. "I am yours, today and always, Jessie," he said as Amergin unloosed the ribbon and Elijah handed the groom Jessie's ring, a
ruby, diamond and gold eternity band. "Nothing and no one will ever come between us. That is my solemn vow," he added as he placed the ring on her finger.
Jessie smiled as a tear of red came down her cheek she looked at the man who would shortly become her husband.
Ewan when I met you I was a being of many pieces and many memories pulled from all over the universe .
