Frog accidentally uttered something during a lesson before the Sewer King took him into a room filled with bright light. ''Children should be seen and not heard!'' The bright light caused Frog's eyes to hurt. He eventually ran out of the room and to a train track before Batman saved him from a train. He found himself with Alfred and had to wear sunglasses due to sunlight.
Since Frog wasn't being abused by the Sewer King, he caused mischief, but not out of spite. He devoured food, used a sleigh down the stairs, etc. He was curious about a gun before Batman viewed him with it and took it.
Frog was able to lead Batman to the Sewer King and aid him in defeating his foster father. He was returned to the surface and placed in a foster home. A little while later, Frog wandered from home and became lost. Fate reunited him with the Sewer King.
