Omega Red glanced at his ankles as something wrapped around them. His eyes became wide for a few seconds. Frowning, he concentrated before coils slid out of his wrists. Omega Red brought one coil down on the plants and managed to split them apart. His jaw dropped after he saw plants around Harley's ankles. He brought the other coil down on the plants.
A scowl replaced Omega Red's shocked expression. He trembled for a couple minutes. ''When I locate the one responsible for harming us...'' Omega Red viewed a black-haired woman near another woman. ''Is the black-haired woman responsible for disrupting the wedding?'' His coils writhed at the same time.

Jackson looked at Mira and gritted his teeth. He was more or less certain that Melkir and those twit police officers of his knew about his dimension-hopping for profit, but he was also as certain that they did not know about Ronan the Everlasting, his quest for power and the army of mystics Jackson had helped create with his own and that Ronan's DNA. "I will stand down because I do not want the Mystic Council looking into my affairs at the moment."
"Thank you, Mira," Miri said as she ran over and hugged her soon-to-be in-law. "Father, you know it is going to catch up to you eventually. After the mess with Morgan Le Fay and Patience..."
Bella's head snapped round at the mention of this world's version of her mother. "What about my Mom?"
"She isn't your mother," Jackson said as he started to walk away. "And I will now leave you all to your own devices," he added as he turned back toward Sean and Miri. "I had such high hopes for you." He then looked at the crying girl and shook his head. "Have them check your DNA, my dear. Your brothers, too. You are either Rydenborne or MacFeorais. I'm sure that means all sorts of insanity for the lot of you."
By now tendrils were snaking their way into the group, but enchanted boots made him a bit less of a target than the others. He smiled wickedly as he looked at Kendra Athonlea. "Be free, Death's sweet angel," he whispered as he strode past her.

Captain Hook's lower lip trembled for a moment. Tears continued to run down his face. Captain Hook still sobbed. The illusion of his decaying mother seemed so real to him. He glanced at the illusion's eye sockets and skeletal features. ''I've been a good boy, Mummy.'' He began to sob uncontrollably again.

With the illusion revealed, the crowd outside were moaning. Selene previously had drained a portion of their life force energies, making them mindless slaves to her will. Slowly, as zombies are, they were walking toward the guests at the wedding, many of whom were now trapped by the tendrils of matter Selene was able to easily control with the extra boost of life force energy she had drained. Selene, on the other hand, had bigger fish to fry. It was true that while planning for the attack, she was not aware that the young, untamed Phoenix would be in attendance. Members of her coven would be on their own if Jessie's true power were revealed.
"You are everything I remember and more." Selene commented on the brilliant display of power Jessie had unleashed, her eyes now black with power. Selene was not nervous. Whereas Jessie has more raw power, Selene has thousands of years of refinement. "If you wish to fight me, I have no qualms with taking you out," Selene stated casually over the roar that was had become Jessie's voice, "But Darkness still flows through you. It is reaching out for me, asking me to free it... You want it too." Selene could feel the pulsating darkness reaching out to the Goddess. A spark of purple in Selene's eye.
Suddenly, everything changed. The two of them were no longer at a wedding. Jessie was alone inside the empty foyer of a skyscraper. Marble covered the floors while chrome bedazzled the trim of the room. Selene stood just outside of the glass front doors wearing the same dress and red high heels. The skyscraper was a visual construct of Jessie's psyche. The Black Queen had pulled her into the Astral Plane. Time worked differently in the mind. Time was an arbitrary construct, and Selene needed time to draw out the darkness.
The door opened slowly, dramatically, and a chill filled the room as Selene stepped just inside the door. Her red smile still plastered on her face as she looked around the room. "Home sweet home." Selene's calm voice echoed throughout the room.

Jasper enjoyed every second of viewing his younger brother's tears. ''You always sobbed near our mother. That's why you're weak, Jamie Hook. I will never cause the illusion of our mum to disappear. Not one person here will wreck my fun.'' Jasper slapped James again.
''You will be a good boy, James Hook. Reveal additional tears.'' One corner of Jasper's mouth almost reached his eye. ''I will be the one to defeat you this time, little brother. You're helpless now.'' Jasper still smiled as James sobbed.

Jessie sat on a leather couch facing the glass doors. She was still draped in the Crimson Red and Gold of the Dark Phoenix but her uniform was the classic one like her mother and sister had worn before. Jessie still felt nothing but rage towards the Black Queen but it was as if her rage was being kept in check or rather under control. Her legs draped in the long gold colored boots crossed over one another. She still felt of free will but in the Astral plain she didn't know what was going to happen. She quietly sent out a psychic message to Jean who was else where.
{"Help me mother."}

Dorcha had defused one situation but another had arisen and the mages patience was at an end. She looked at Miri and Sean. "Nothing will ruin this day for you....Nothing!"She said as she erupted in green flame she set free as many as she could from the vines and wrapped them in green colored energy.
"I am getting the both of you out of here now....I will get as many of the family out as possible."She said as the couple vanished to another destination.

Post by Karenza on Aug 22, 2016 23:42:21 GMT
{{Well, it was going to be a lovely day}} Kari said telepathically to Logan as first the tendrils attacked them and then some zombified protesters started to make their way onto the grounds of The Conservatory. She gritted her teeth as she finally looked over to see who was making this such a bloody mess.
It wasn't Jackson Rydenborne, and Kari was actually very thankful about that. He seemed to be leaving as Mira vanished with the bride, groom and other family members that were close to them when the attack started. {{Glad Mira got them the hell out of here. But it doesn't explain the folks who should be running away from Daryl Dixon}} she said to her husband as they both slashed at the damned vines that were attacking them.
((Darlin, I hate to say this, but I think I know who it is)) Wolverine replied as he looked to see a woman standing very close to Jessie Grey. ((It smells like our old pal Selene, and your brother is down for the count))
Kari looked to see Ewan out cold on the ground near where Jessie was standing with the woman Logan said was Selene. His nose could pick her out a mile away even if she wore a glamour. {{Ewan, get the hell up!}} she screamed via her link to her brother. {{Jessie needs you!}} The avatar of the Morrigan tried to push herself into the astral plane to help Jessie, but Selene was versed in so many of the darker arts that she made easy entry impossible. {{I'm going to keep trying, Logan, but this is not going to be easy. I may have to call in every damned debt owed to me to break this one}}
As Karenza did a mental sweep of the grounds to see what family or friends were there, she found a few people that she didn't expect at this gathering, but she was glad they were there. "Anyone hearing my voice, do not kill the protesters! They have been possessed!" she shouted and then relayed telepathically.
A man with a wide-brimmed black hat and what could only be called old Western fancy dress walked up to Karenza and bowed to her as he doffed his hat. "And here I thought the lot of you would be having a nice civilized affair," he said as his fangs glinted a bit as the flickering party lights danced off them. He bent down and cut more of the tendrils from his feet as he approached. "Who did you piss off this time, princess?"
"Leonard, just shut up and help get Ewan back on his feet!" Kari snapped as the oddly-dressed vampire strode off. "Long story, Logan. Old boyfriend of Maeve's. Pain in my arse, but he is a good fighter."

Craig was too weak to sit up. He was barely able to lift his head. Tears continued to stream down Craig's face. ''I loved you, Isabella. I never mistreated you.'' He saw a sudden scowl on Isabella's face as she trembled with absolute rage.
''Someone said I mistreated you, Isabella?'' He shook his head in disbelief. ''About your death...'' Craig sobbed for a few seconds. ''I am sorry from the bottom of my heart. Please forgive me.''
Craig began to glance at Captain Hook. Worry filled his eyes as the latter continued to cry. ''James, your mother isn't present at all. Please don't sob any longer, my friend.''

OOC: Karl Urban's father is a leather goods manufacturer.
IC:
"Maeve, where in the name of your cranky granny are you?" Leonard muttered as he moved through the crowds of people snapping at the vines around their feet. This sure as hell was a long way from the San Francisco he knew back in the days of the Gold Rush. Then the war came, and he headed back to New York to sign up and fight with his childhood friends. They all died, but somehow fate had other plans for the son of the leather merchant.
The German accent had long since disappeared, but the vampire still had the heart of the Teutonic warriors from his family line of ages past. He also had little patience for crazy people causing problems. As he moved past the two women who were there but also were not at the same time, Leonard got to Ewan's side and cut away the vines that were trying to entrap him now that his companion seemed locked in a battle of her own. Then he saw Queen Aleera and bowed to her before trying to get Ewan back on his feet. "Your majesty, perhaps your guards should get you out of here before someone gets the stupid idea that you caused it? Some fool might take advantage and cause hell for all of us."
Leonard finally started to rouse Ewan, hitting his friend with his large black hat. "Some welcome wagon guy you turn out to be. What the hell is going on with your girlfriend?"

"Jessie!" Ewan shouted as he finally got to his feet with Leonard's help. "Who the hell is that woman?" he said as he pointed to the woman standing next to Jessie. He had not gotten the information Kari had sent to him telepathically. He pushed past the vines and stood at Jessie's side, placing his hands on her arm as he tried to enter her mind. Her combatant had made that impossible as he seemed to run into brick walls and firewalls alike.
{{Jean! Emma!}} he shouted telepathically as he tried to find one of Jessie's mothers nearby, but neither were there at the moment. Then it dawned on him the one parent who might be there, or at least she might be closer to the event than the others. {{Madelyne! If you are anywhere close to San Francisco, follow my voice! Jessie needs you! Someone is in psychic battle with her, and I am afraid she needs help!}}
Although he was not one to call upon any deity most of the time, Ewan said a silent prayer to the Morrigan that this battle would end with Jessie's victory.

Post by Jack Sparrow on Aug 27, 2016 23:13:35 GMT
As the action went on all around them, Jack helped free Mrs. Brown from the vines that were snaking over her legs. "I suggest you get out of here now, Mrs. Brown, before these damnable things attack you again!" he shouted as he cut away at the vines with a steak knife he had found on a nearby table. "Oh, for my cutlass! Why did I ever leave it at home!"
Jack swung back around to see where Craig was, and his mouth dropped open as he saw the unmistakable figure of the reformed mobster's dead wife standing before him. "What in blue blazes..." Jack started to ask when he began to feel himself vibrate slightly. "Oh bullocks!" he shouted as he was swept up in Mira's spell and teleported away with the wedding party.

Post by Dazzler on Aug 28, 2016 0:09:45 GMT
Alison and Sasha had been taken by surprise by the vines, and the Walking Dead-level zombie protesters just added to the general sense of WTF that Dazzler was feeling at the moment. The bride and groom had been poofed away, and some weird looking lady was bugging Sasha's old boss.
"Sasha, who in the world is that with Craig?" Alison asked as she formed a hard light dagger and slashed away at the vines. "This is way crazier than I thought it would be! Maybe we better call in reinforcements?"
Alison had come to the wedding with her comm badge attached to her costume, and she was glad she did. "All X-Men in the vicinity of the Conservatory of Flowers, we need help! We have possessed protesters and runaway greenery making this a mess!"
Dazzler closed the comm link and then formed a light blast to stun the protesters. "We can't kill them, so we'll have to dazzle them!" she said as she kept sending light blasts into the crowd. "I just hope that wedding music sound track is on a loop! It's cheesy as hell, but it's helping me in this fight! How are you holding out, Sasha?"

Craig began to focus on Isabella another time. ''I always cherished you, Isabella,'' he said. The corner of his mouth went up. ''You can remain with me in Jack Sparrow's home. We can be spouses again, Isabella.'' That was when Craig heard Jack's voice. ''Jack?'' he mumbled. He winced as he sat up.
Craig turned his head, but he never saw Jack. His eyes became wide for a moment. ''Jack?'' he repeated. He saw Isabella again. ''We're together another time, my beloved wife. We should be happy.''

Sasha gasped the minute vines wrapped around his body. He struggled before the vines snapped and fell from him. He smiled after Alison used a hard light dagger to slash them. Sasha heard her question and tilted his head in confusion. After looking ahead, he recognized a woman with Craig. He began to gasp another time. Sasha's eyes became bigger behind his mask.
''Isabella Dragotti?! Craig Dragotti's wife? I thought Craig killed her with his fire kiss! It was by accident. Someone revived Isabella? I don't see her expression, but Craig does not look happy.''
Sasha faced Captain Hook and another pirate. ''The man with the hook is sobbing uncontrollably. Something about his mother.'' Tears formed in Sasha's eyes for a moment. ''I know how the pirate feels. I know what it's like to endure solitude after a mother dies.''
Sasha's shoulders slumped. ''I have no idea about the other pirate. He appears to be a captain based on the hat he's wearing.'' Sasha smiled the minute Alison used her comm badge to summon the other X-Men. ''Good idea, Alison. Summoning the other X-Men.'' Sasha's smile remained. ''I'm doing okay so far,'' he said.
