"I'm not going anywhere, babe," Shannon said as she hugged Ceri. "And I do not want any part of that flying whatever-it-is. Let some other SHIELD operatives take care of it."
To be honest, Shannon would have loved to get Ceri as far away from this flying circus above midtown as she could, but she didn't want to pull her girlfriend away from her family. Ceri had worked so hard to get back to this point, and Shannon was not going to blow it for her.
"Wanna bet Stark pulls his armor out of his socks and flies up there to check it out?" Shannon said with a giggle as she tried not to stare at Iron Man. "Sorry, but he is too pompous for his own good."

Wendy continued to focus on the airship. The pirate flags reminded her of Captain Hook's ship. She suddenly wondered if the people aboard were interested in capturing others. Wendy couldn't remember how many times she was captured by pirates. *I'm curious about how Captain Hook and his brother will react to the airship. They will probably try to capture it.*
Wendy smiled. *Maybe I can convince Captain Hook to be a gentleman. I'm not sure about his brother.* She frowned again.

Bryce made her way towards the group after a short hop from the wedding ceremony in Ireland. The newlyweds and some of the guests were soon to be on their way as well but Bryce decided to tag on ahead. Her normal armor get up was replaced with something a bit more casual but almost anything she wore was like a second skin showing of her amazon like form. She smiled as she caught a glimpse of her family.
"Hi mom! Hi sis!"She said walking over and giving Kari and Alexia hugs.

Wendy saw a woman she wasn't familiar with. Another smile began to replace her frown. She began to curtsy. ''I'm Wendy Darling. How do you do?'' Wendy still never forgot about the airship.

"A pleasure to meet you both my name is Bryce. My mother and the rest of the extended clan are here so I thought I would join you. Believe me the party is about to get bigger. We are finishing up one and joining another it seems." She said as she felt the rest of her family who were at the wedding starting to arrive.

Wendy continued to smile at Bryce. She nodded at her. ''It's good you'll get to be with your family.'' Wendy tried not to remember her siblings. She attempted to bury her emotions so she wouldn't reveal tears. The corners of Wendy's mouth almost reached her eyes.

Alexia stood close by her mother when a connection opened up with her and her mother. "Hello my dear. Hello Kari. I made a promise to you my dear daughter. I will be on earth with you for the holidays. I can't always spend time with you but I would not be much of a father if I didn't spend the holidays with you."} He said before focusing on Kari. {"You can tell she is your daughter Kari. She presents herself in a way only one of your children would."}
Alexia couldn't help herself but smile. "I still have my concerns about Amora being around him but he seems to be not letting his duties change his kindness."

Isabella glanced at the flying pirate ship. The corner of her mouth went up. *Perhaps my ex-spouse will be captured by air pirates. Maybe he'll be forced to walk the plank or whatever equivalent they have* she thought. Isabella began to laugh in a quiet tone. She turned from the ship.
Isabella suddenly wondered if Jasper Hook killed his younger brother. *My Hellfire Club associate is probably tormenting his baby sibling again. He isn't killing him just now. Perhaps Jasper can reveal secrets about casting illusions.* Isabella glanced at Craig. Her frown returned.
*I'm just here due to the holiday. I'm actually looking forward to being in a cell again. At least I won't have to view Craig's tears any longer. I'm certain Jasper doesn't wish to hear his brother sobbing another time.*

"Bryce, I'm glad you made it," Kari said as she gave her daughter a hug. Then she felt the mental "tap" from Thor as he arrived in the city on what was likely Avengers business. It made her wonder why Stark had not gone off to join them, but she certainly wasn't going to ask Iron Man anything about it. {{Thank you for your kind words, your majesty}} she replied to Thor's comments. {{And I wish you and your extended family all the blessings of the Yule season}}
Kari then turned her attention to Alexia's concerns regarding Amora. {{Thor seems to bring out the best in her, or at least he has before. I hope that is still the case. If Amora does anything that seems out of bounds, let me know, and I will gladly talk to her}}
As she turned back to Logan, Kari saw Melinda May making her way toward the group. {{She had better be here for Tony, Logan}} she said to her husband as she looked up again at the pirate ship. {{I really don't want any part of that today}}

"I take it the flying nightmare isn't an X-Men ship?" Melinda May asked as she made her way to the center of the group. "The captain up there is a bit prickly, and I'd welcome any help I could get dealing with him."
"Why don't you go talk to Jack Sparrow?" Kari said as she looked over at Craig and Isabella before turning back to May. "He ran off again?"
"I'll go look for him," May said as she started to head for the skating rink. "Happy Holidays everyone."
"And the same to you, Agent May," Kari replied before grabbing Logan's hand. "I think we should all head our separate ways before we get recruited to handle that mess," she added as she watched Stark start to walk away.

"We can all meet back at the mansion for further holiday festivities," Kari said as she opened a portal back to Westchester. It still felt odd to be doing that in public in a normal situation. "Tony, Happy Holidays to all at Avengers Tower. I'm sure we'll be seeing you at some point, right? Adaryn said you might be joining us for New Year's, or did I get that wrong?"
"Not sure yet," he said as he motioned for Niamh and Jackson to go along with him to one of the shops on Fifth Avenue. "I'll make sure you all know in advance."
Kari nodded as she and Logan stepped through the portal and back to Westchester. Everyone else went their separate ways for the time being.
OOC: This thread is now closed. Sorry for the damnably long delay. As I stated at the start, this thread is out of continuity and was merely an attempt to have some holiday cheer on the board.
