OOC: The title of this thread is "The Fatherland and the Mystic Dream." I do not know German. That bit was via Google Translate. This thread takes place at the same time as the other active threads on the board.

The Red Skull sat alone in a darkened hall in a castle in the Rhine Valley in Germany. To the world the castle looked long abandoned, but that bit was due to a glamour that one of Herr Shmidt's Teutonic mages had placed on the premises in recent days.
Some HYDRA splinter cells still answered his call, so he had amassed an army of his own in the depths of his castle on the Rhine, but the Red Skull was still not a happy man. Captain America and his cronies still kept America safely out of his grasp, and Thor's ascension to the throne of Asgard kept that mystic stronghold out of his reach as well. And don't get the man started on the Celtic upstarts that seemed to be amassing more power since magic had been revealed to the world.
Red Skull still remembered that night in a Paris dance hall when Rogers and those Canadian buffoons Wolverine and Puck were joined by the redheaded singer in taking down most of his command staff. He had since learned that singer was The Morrigan's own messenger, and he had not stopped in his quest to take her power and that of her family for his own purposes.
As Shmidt heard a noise behind him, he turned to see one of his mages standing near him. "Mother Gothel, do you have good news for me?"

It was at that point that Mother Gothel was very glad that the Red Skull could not read her mind. She was sick of the man, but she needed to make him think otherwise as she inched closer to regaining entry to Asgard.
"Fuhrer, there is a demonic invasion in New York City, just as we had planned," she said as she bowed to her temporary master. "And your enemy is at the epicenter of the fight. Along with the Rote Hexe..."
She knew calling Karenza The Red Witch in German would please Shmidt. She also knew the Celtic avatar could likely lead her to her own daughter as well as provide mystic sisters for her coven. But that, for the moment, would need to wait.
"Do you wish to go there and participate, or would a window be enough for you, Herr Shmidt?" she said as she waved her hands around a large crystal ball to show a large number of combatants in the fray.
