*I'll find my younger sibling sooner or later* Jasper thought. He glanced at the wedding guests. He smiled after he saw a variety of jewelry. Jasper remembered taking gold coins and jewelry after he captured ships. *Perhaps I can obtain jewelry later. I regret never obtaining jewelry after I captured my little brother's betrothed years ago.*
Jasper heard Selene's telepathic words and nodded. He was eager to obey every word. He was still grateful for being revived. Jasper followed his mistress.

"Miranda!" Jackson Rydenborne kept shouting over and over as he stalked his poor daughter. He seemed to be rolling over the guests like a berserk tank in search of the bride. Miri, who had still been dressing and was getting ready to fix her hair, looked at Isabella and Sandrine before slipping out off the dressing area and then broke off into a run in her very pricey Louboutins. She almost slammed into a waiter with a tray full of Champagne before coming to a halt in front of her father. "Why on earth are you screaming like that? You know I'm here," Miri asked as she stared up at her father. "And you know that everyone here is ready to celebrate with us today. What's the matter now?" The look in Blackjack Rydenborne's eyes was one of cold, hard steel and pain as he dragged Miri along behind him as he marched toward the gates. "You are not marrying that vampire, today or any other day!" he spat as he motioned for a car to come toward the gates, but it was blocked by protesters. "Will you buffoons move! There will be no wedding here today!"

"I beg to differ sir." A voice said in a rather irritated manner as Sean made his appearance with Erin in toe as they appeared in front of the gates blocking their way. "She may be your daughter but she is a grown woman who can make her own decisions. If you insist on taking her against her will I am afraid I will have to step in. You are already ruining a beautiful day for all of us." Sean said as Erin was waiting for any problems to arise.

"I forget how you are related to that MacFeorais gutter trash. That bloodline connection is bad enough," Blackjack said as he spit on the ground, "but the fact you are a bloody vampire is too much. And my daughter may be grown, but that does not make her wise. She follows her heart but does not weigh the consequences. Like her mother."
The elder Rydenborne looked past the gate and saw that the driver was having some issue getting the vehicle to move, and it was apparently not because of the throng of idiot protesters. He would deal with that matter momentarily.
"You've mesmerized her, you fanged fool! That can be the only explanation for this ridiculous affair!" Blackjack bellowed as he started to move closer to Sean and the woman with him. "And you. Which one are you? Your lot breed like rabbits. I can't keep track anymore."
By now Miri had slipped her father's grip and moved closer to Sean. "Sean, I'm sorry. You tried so hard to make this perfect by letting my father attend. He won't ruin this day. I promise he won't!"

"I have done no such thing sir. The love we feel for another is genuine and no outside interference has been involved. I've loved your daughter for quite a long time. The fact that I am a vampire should be of no concern to you.....You can't seen passed your blind anger but my name is known and if you looked into my background you would know that what I am and who I am as a person are two completely different things"Sean responded as she looked at Erin. "This is Erin, Kari's niece and someone who cares just as much about family as I do."

"Will the Goddess not grant me one boon and disconnect that red haired maniac from this world and let her pass into history?" Jackson said as he looked at Erin and saw not only Kari's face staring back but her sister Maeve's as well. "Maeve. Your hers? And here I thought she stayed away from men? Not that I'd let one of yours near me or my sons."
"Father! Enough!" Miri screamed as she turned on her heel and tried to summon up whatever wellspring of willpower she had let fall dormant for so very long. "I always let you dictate my life when I was younger, but the only reason I stayed close in the last 20 years was to make sure Isabella wasn't used as some cannon fodder in one of your schemes. When she died, I don't think you even batted an eyelash, and now that the Goddess has given you a second chance with an Isabella as pure and wonderous as the one you helped create, you push her aside like trash. You cannot run roughshod over any of us anymore. Us or those poor people in the tanks! Don't think I don't know what you've done. Breeding human livestock in other worlds! Your children."
Jackson by now was turning crimson with anger as he glared at Miri. "You will shut your mouth! Now!" He looked as if he planned to hit his daughter as he stood there staring her down.

Erinyes had stayed close to Major Domo, but she kept looking around to make sure Joshua was actually having fun. She was still monitoring the conversations around the party, and one talk was starting to make her ill.
"Major Domo, please, follow me," she said as she broke into a run, motioning for Kendra and Joshua to follow once she finally spotted them. The quartet made it to the gate to see the bride and groom in some sort of fight with the bride's father. It was then that Bethany heard Miri saying something about her father fathering all the people in the tanks in other worlds. "That can't be true. He can't be. Jackson Rydenborne is the worst black soul I have ever heard of. He could not be the one who gave me, gave us, life," she said as she looked at Joshua. "He can't be my father," she said as she clung to Major Domo like an anchor in a storm. "He can't be my father."

Sean felt enough was enough. He stood in front of his fiancee protecting her with his frame as Erin stood behind. "Jackson I've seen that look before and mark my words if you even raise your hand and inkling towards her I will tear it off and feed it to you.....I do not care if she is your daughter or not you do not and will not hit any lady in my presence unless you feel the need to taste blood." He put a hand gently across Miri's cheek in a sign of love towards her.
"And it would be wise not to insult Erin's mother or aunt either Erin is a caring soul but her temper stays contained for only so long." He said as he looked Jackson over once more. "We will give you one more chance...Stay and share in this moment of joy and love or leave and consider yourself banished from this family. Your close mindedness is only hurting you....We asked you here because we wanted a new beginning but you insist on keep the past in the present."

Emil had grabbed another tray so he would continue to fit in with the staff. He did not want to admit it, but the staff were not the unpowered humans he had hoped for. They were all preternatural creatures or mutants. That could pose a problem later.
"I have not noticed anyone you both are looking for yet, but I am sure Mistress Selene will have things under control very soon," Emil said to Isabella and Jasper as he kept surveying the crowd. He saw many mystics he would be very happy to dispatch this night, but they were not the main reason the coven was there, and he full well knew that. "Do you think if I get any particular beverage I might be able to scare them up? What did your enemies drink, my friends?"

*Hm?* Major Domo thought as he tilted his head to one side in curiosity. He followed Erinyes. His eyes became wide at the sight of current events. Major Domo was uncomfortable after he saw a man near Miri. ''That isn't the proper way to treat a lady!'' he said to the man. Although he was usually like a slave, he had to protect her.
Major Domo gasped after he heard what Erinyes said. ''Jackson Rydenborne? Your father?'' Major Domo's eyes widened again the minute Erinyes clung to him. ''I'm here, Erinyes.'' He shook his head in disbelief about everything he just heard.

Miri was shaking a bit before Sean got between her and her father. Jackson Rydenborne, under the best of circumstances, was never a truly happy soul. Feeling that he was losing control of anyone who shared his name made him harder to deal with.
"Sean is right, father," she said softly as she tried to keep her own temper in check once more. "You can't come in here and act like this. If you want to rethink how you feel and decide to stay, we'd welcome you. But if you persist in acting like this, then you will have to go."
Miri was now looking past her father to the X-Men member named Bethany Kincaid. Erinyes. "Oh dear Goddess!" Miri said as she stepped back toward Sean once more. "I never put it together until now," she said as she gently pulled Sean aside. "He really did father those people. At least some of them. And I never put the pieces in place until now. We can't let him stay. He's been breeding mystic slaves across the worlds. I don't mean making it happen. He created them from his...from himself. I should have seen it in her eyes."
As she bit her lip and looked up at Sean, she grabbed his hand and then looked back toward her father. "Am I right, Sean? He has to go, right?"

Isabella's shoulders slumped after she heard what Emil said. ''Hopefully I'll locate my ex-spouse sooner or later. He should be easy to find. Craig always liked wearing black suits. Long coats. Fancy suits with vests. His dark hair was always long.''
Isabella looked thoughtful. ''Craig sometimes consumed wine. Not any particular sort of wine.'' Isabella glanced at most guests, but she never saw Craig. *I'll eventually find you, my ex-spouse. You'll suffer at a snail's pace.*

Jasper glanced at Emil. A scowl formed on his face after he heard the latter's words. ''My younger brother must be here.'' One eye widened the minute he heard about drinks. ''James usually consumed water. Very rarely red wine.''

Ewan had been talking to some of his vampire friends from Prague when he saw Jessie walking over with Aleera. "If you will excuse me," he said as he bowed to his group and made his way over to his beloved and his queen. "It is good to see you, Queen Aleera," he said as he bowed to her, and then he stood and kissed Jessie. "I take it the time with Jean went well? I hope so."
As he stood there, Ewan kept mentally "tapping" the surrounding area to see what was going on. He knew about the mess with Jackson Rydenborne, but he also knew Sean and Erin had it under control. And he knew Maeve was headed their way, so he didn't need to rush into the contretemps.

Emil had hoped their prey would want to consume some exotic concoctions, but wine could work well. "My friends," he said to Isabella and Jasper, "I can enchant a bottle of wine and use it as a way to lure out your prey. It would be easier if I had something that belonged to your enemies, but it can still work. I will return shortly." The sorceror wandered off to find what he hoped would be a plentiful stock of wine, and he was not disappointed. He walked past bottles of blood wine. Neither was a vampire, so that would never work. But he found some very nice bottles of Domaine Leroy Musigny hidden away in a box. At $4,500a bottle, it was a bit pricey to be toying with, but some cheaper stock would never do. He scooped it up and took it back to his companions. "Would you like to sample it before I do my spellwork?" he asked Isabella and Jasper as he showed them one bottle.
