Isabella Rydenborne and Sandrine Michaelides had been busy running around The Conservatory grounds making sure everything was ready for Miranda Rydenborne to walk down the aisle to Sean Mcgowan.
Isabella, of course, carried her short sword and several daggers with her, tucked safely under her dress, in case anyone got stupid before the couple could say their "I dos" this day. "Sandrine, everything is going to be OK," she said as she snagged a couple of glasses of Champagne from a passing waitress before walking into the room where Miri was getting ready. "Miri, I thought you might need this to calm your nerves."
"I'm fine!" Miri said in a very loud and slightly squeaky voice. "I just sound like Minnie Mouse right now."
"You are freaking out when you don't need to," Bella said as she handed Miri one of the glasses. "Lara and Mira will be here soon, and everything is going to be fine. And, well, I saw Antandre earlier. She brought you a gift."
"Oh, I bet she did!" Miri chirped as she sipped her Champagne. "Some big oracle-y thing that will scare half the guests away. The Amazons want me to step in and take up my mother's mantle, but I really do not want to go sit on that silly island of theirs and predict the future."
"Yeah, sounds kind of depressing," Bella said as she looked to make sure Sean was not lurking in the doorway. "Fighting along side the Amazons is cool. Being locked in some tower reading sacred texts and scryeing? Boring!"
