OOC: Tying up a very old loose end since Remedy is no longer in play.

The portal opened into Doc Nemesis' lab, but he and Ceri could not have been ready for what they saw. One of the stasis units, the one that had held Kyle Gibney, had been forcibly opened, and the room that belonged to Emily Farrell had been tossed as well. "Oh crap!' Nemesis muttered as he realized what had happened. "She sprung that maniac! If they did anything to Genome, I will send out a party and take them both down. I don't care what your brother Liam says about that girl Remedy. Wildchild had her bewitched!"
Nemesis ran to a room where the woman called Genome, his colleague Genevieve Olivier, was still in a coma and, thankfully, had been left undisturbed. "I think everything else is right as rain, Ceri," he said as he walked back to her. "Now, this is not some prison cell block, even if we do have this base on Alcatraz. We have the labs, but we have rooms for our Weapon X task force members. Shannon had been bunking here, but she's out in the field. If you want, you can stay in her room until we get this all sorted out," he added as he motioned to a bright green door to his left. "Your brother Liam uses that room next to hers if you'd prefer that. And as soon as Jean gets here, we can get started. You hungry?"

"I'm sorry I didn't get here sooner," Jean said as she made her way into the Alcatraz base of Cybercide. Jean had not been around for the birth of the group tasked with stopping Weapon X, but she was very glad they had been created. "How can I help?"
As Jean walked forward, she saw Ceri standing before her. Kari and Logan had given Jean the rundown on the expanded MacFeorais family tree, but she had not met the woman until now. "I promise that whatever happens between us stays between us, Ceri. I'll help in whatever way I can."
"I'm glad you got here, Jean," Bradley said as he then motioned toward the room where the stasis units were all placed and then to Genevieve's room. "When things calm down, Hank and I would like you to have a look at Genome. Omega Red did a number on her."
Phoenix nodded to Nemesis and then look back to Vulpine. "First things first, Doc. I'm not going anywhere."
**EDIT added to include what is going on at the wedding--I will be posting Jean at both locations**
As Jean waited, she felt a tug at her from the astral plane, and then she heard Ewan screaming bloody murder about Jessie being in trouble. She could not simply leave Ceri on her own, but she could go to Jessie via her thoughts.
Phoenix approached the location on the astral plane but met with resistance...

Ceri smiled as Jean arrived. "I thank you for coming Jean...If anyone can get me back to being well me it is you." She said as she sat down in a nearby chair. I know I don't have to tell you what is going on in my head but I still feel like I should. I am at constant battle mentally with the other side of me. When Weapon X started to work me over they released the animal side of my brain. The side very much like Logan who is primal and thrives on violence but for me its even more so." She said as she paused for a minute.
"I don't think even Weapon X knows what they really released when they did this to me. I want to get mother involved but I don't want to overwhelm her. I know you can help me get me back to where I was.....So I can go back to my family and.....My Shannon." She said somberly.

Nemesis stepped away from the ladies for a moment as he got word from Hank that they would be bringing in prisoners from the wedding. That was the moment Jean seemed to fully come back into the room on Alcatraz.
"Sorry to do this to you, but we are going to have company soon," Bradley said as he made his way into the area where the control panels for the holding cells were stationed. "As in that gutter snipe Selene and some of her crazy followers. Excuse me, ladies."
Bradley made his way down a corridor to the area where the holding cells were stationed. He waited to hear from Beast and Pixie so he could get the cells ready for their new occupants.

Jean smiled as she listened to Ceri, and she nodded to Bradley before his exit. "We'll let the good doctor deal with the drama from the wedding. Let's walk into one of the rooms back here so we can have some privacy," Jean added as she motioned for Ceri to follow her. "I am not thrilled with Selene or her coven members being anywhere near the X-Men, but we can't just let them be handled by the local police or SHIELD. That never seems to end well for anyone."
As Phoenix looked at Vulpine, she could tell the woman was in so much pain, more than she was willing or able to let on to anyone. "It's at times like these that I truly wish I could simply roll back time and undo what was done, Ceri, but I can't," Jean said as they walked into one of the empty dorm rooms. "I'll take the chair," she said as she left the futon bed open for Ceri to sit on. "Weapon X kidnapped you after that family gathering in Ireland, right? The one Sabretooth crashed with Loki and Cailleach?"
Jean knew never to call this world's Victor Creed Ceri's father. The two men were nothing alike, and Jean did not want to insult Ceri's father in that manner.

Ceri slowly laid down as Jean began to talk to her. She thought back to the event in question. "Yes it happened not too long after they arrived. I get the feeling that Loki didn't want anything to happen but at the same time he had two other people to contend with....Plus I think as always Loki has his own agenda."
She then thought back to the moment Sabertooth snatched her and a low growl could be heard coming from her. "Before I knew it that bastard had me and knocked me out. When I woke up I was in a cell and not long after that they started the reprogramming. I nearly lost my mind....And I guess you could say in part I did." She said with a sadness.

Jean bit her lip as she thought about Sabretooth. While she was in the White Hot Room, according to others she had spoken to since her return, Logan had beheaded this world's Victor Creed. At least that's what everyone thought. It ended up being a clone or some alternate reality version that Logan had dispatched.
"Anything to do with the X-Men family seems to pull Weapon X out of the woodwork, and the fact that Kari is your mother seems to make matters worse. And yes, I understand that every Kari out there is a part of this world's Kari. That seems to be some sort of beacon to the crazies out there, just like I am to others like Mister Sinister. We'll work slowly, Ceri, so as not to bring up the bad memories too fast. I promise."
As Jean took hold of Ceri's hand, she thought for a moment about the wedding that had now been shifted to Ireland. Phoenix was not sure if Shannon, Ceri's girlfriend, would be there or not, but it would be nice if Ceri could feel the support of those who loved her.
"Ceri, I know this is painful beyond words, and I'm sure you don't want to have too many people too close in case you lose control, but being a part of your family's daily lives could help when you feel ready to wade back into those waters. Are you afraid to go to the wedding? I know I was afraid of a lot of things due to the Phoenix when I first got the power."

Ceri held Jeans hand gently as she listened to the fiery redhead talk to her. She mentioned her family over and over and there was truth to it. For Ceri to really find her way back from the darkness she needed her family.
"Jean it may not be best for me to be there physically right now but perhaps is there a way I could be there mentally? At least while we work on clearing away what needs to be fixed?" She said with a gentle smile.

"Of course," Jean said as she kept hold of Ceri's hands. "We can go through the astral plane and join your family that way. That would not be hard at all," she said softly as she tried to see if any other family members were in the lab area who might want to mentally hitch a ride to the ceremony. "I'd ask Liam to join us, but I'm sure he'll be busy helping Dr. Bradley since most of their team is in the field at the moment."
Jean thought for a moment about the wedding and took one last mental sweep around the base. "Ceri, Shannon was with your cousin Daniel, right, from what Dr. Bradley said? The one who was in SHIELD with her?" Jean asked as she got a funny look in her eye. "Maybe I can get Nemesis to tell me where they are, and we can loop them in, if you want, I mean?"

"I am not sure how Shannon would react seeing me like this but I have to be honest with the person I love....Yes that would be fine."Ceri said as she came closer gently hugging Jean. "Thank you for being so kind....Jessie really is lucky to have a mom like you." She finished with a small smile.

A pink portal opened in the holding cell area of the Cybercide base, and Beast stepped out, guiding Selene's pod to a stasis unit in one of the cells. Claymore helped get Isabella Dragotti and Jasper Hook to separate cells in the same area.
"I wish Rachel were here," Beast said as he made sure the life-support pod synced with the stasis unit properly. He didn't want any added drama on top of this already crazy situation. Hank exited the cell and put up a force field to keep everyone out while monitors kept watch over Selene.
"Jean, I may need you shortly," he said over the comm line to the other portion of the base. Hank had felt Jean's presence there upon his arrival, and he really didn't want to bother her unless necessary. He then turned and looked at Jasper and Isabella in their cells. "This is not going to be fun," he sighed as he pushed a button on one of the consoles in the room. "Kari will kill me for bringing any of her charges into this mess, but with Selene a prisoner now, I have little choice."
"Which Mac did you ask for?" Claymore asked as he looked over at Beast.
"Autumn Parker, and your mother will have my head for bringing her into this," Hank sighed as he looked at the screens for the scanners in Selene's cell.

Isabella still remembered Craig as she found herself in a cell. His features remained in her mind. As well as the memory of how she died. A memory of Craig's kiss causing fire to consume Isabella's body. The memory disappeared. Isabella frowned at Claymore.
''Why should I be here at all? My ex-spouse murdered me! Why isn't he in a cell? Craig Dragotti should suffer!'' Isabella's body began to tremble. She continued to frown.

Jasper frowned the minute he was in one of the cells. At least he wasn't with his younger brother now. He heard everything Isabella just said. Jasper nodded. He knew what it was like to seek revenge. After all, revenge was why he became one of Selene's coven members in the first place.
''My younger brother is a pirate just like me. He's the one responsible for removing my eye! Midshipman.... errr Captain Jamie Hook should be imprisoned. Do you know why my eye was removed? It was because I refused to part with extra gold during one Christmas. Then again, Jamie was always a brat.'' He rolled his eyes.
''Jamie was the baby in the Hook family. Mummy always spoiled him. Perhaps she was why he turned out the way he did.''

Selene's lifeless body lay inside the pod. Her vital signs were regular, but there was no response from outside stimuli. The psychic attacks had proven too much for her, and she was driven into a coma. She looked so peaceful and lovely in that state- No longer appearing to be the dreaded Black Queen that everyone had come to fear. She could hear nothing going on outside. She would need a powerful psychic to waken, but with all the things she had done against the X-Men and Emma Frost especially, would they even want her to wake up? Even worse, if Emma Frost had somehow learned that Selene was behind the attacks on her Hellions, the White Queen would finish the job.

OOC: Since Magik was so infrequently in play, I have not had the blood stones returned to Pixie. She still has her soul dagger.
IC:
Megan had stayed near Hank in case he needed her to bring anyone else back here. She figured Mojo would be the next one she had to fetch, and frankly being near Selene, even though she was in a coma, freaked her out.
As Pixie listened to what Isabella Dragotti and Jasper Hook had to say, she really had no answer for them. She wasn't even sure it was her place to speak to them. She, too, was a bit of a blackheart because of the missing pieces of her own soul.
"Beast, I'm headed back in case they need help getting Mojo here," she said as she prepared to leave.
